According to U.S. Department of Energy's Smart Grid Peer Review website, the objectives of the Smart Grid Regional Demonstration Project were outlined in a presentation by the LADWP's program director at the 2012 Smart Grid Peer Review meeting held in San Diego, CA on June 8, 2012. Working alongside other project partners JPL and USC, UCLA SMERC will use test bed sites to deploy and demonstrate demand response and electric vehicle infrastructures.
